  • Delivers a cleaner, more professional finish straight off the pack.

Designed for Australian Conditions

  • Stronger and straighter than MGP timber, it saves time and money, helping reduce product waste and labour due to rework requirements.
  • Suitable for external, above-ground applications exposed during construction.

Easy Installation

  • Can be fixed using appropriate wood fixings according to your specific design, simplifying installation time.
  • Consistent sizing helps simplify installation and reduce construction time.

Dimensional Uniform Stability

  • Engineered for strength and straightness, ensuring a consistent fit on site.

Advantages

Faster Builds with Fewer Delays
  • Arrives installation-ready, removing the need for on-site priming. Helps keep projects moving, particularly on time-critical builds.
  • Engineered straightness and stability result in fewer defects, less twisting, and fewer problems after installation.
Protection Where It Matters During Construction
  • The combination of full-depth H3 treatment and precision-applied primer helps protect against:
      • Termites and decay in above-ground exterior applications
      • Moisture, humidity and harmful UV exposure during construction

Your materials stay protected until the final coat is applied, even in tough site conditions.

Reduced Labour Costs and Call-Backs
  • Eliminating on-site priming means fewer labour hours, particularly valuable for volume home builders and commercial contractors managing multiple projects.
All-Weather Installation Flexibility
  • It can be installed in more varied weather conditions without delay, keeping your build schedule on track year-round.
Sustainable Sourcing
  • As a Carbon Warrior partner, we only work with suppliers with verified Wood Source Certifications for responsible and sustainable timber.
  • Chain of Custody certification compliant for well-managed and sustainable forests.
Core LVL Grades Available
  • Available in LVL 10 and LVL 13.2 (All Dindas Branches) & LVL 14 F17 (VIC Only).

H3 Pre-Primed LVL Usage

✅ Suitable applications

  • Above-ground decks
  • Pergolas and verandahs
  • External wall framing
  • Fascia, beams, and exposed members
  • Any above-ground application that can drain and dry

❌ Not suitable for

  • Ground contact
  • Concrete-embedded members
  • Permanently wet or water-trapping areas
  • Marine, tidal, or splash zones
Rule of thumb:

✅ If it’s above ground and can drain and dry, it fits.

❌ If it’s in the ground, embedded, immersed, or permanently wet, it doesn’t.

Note: Always specify and install in accordance with NCC requirements, relevant Australian Standards, and project documentation.

H3 LVL Range Frequently Asked Questions

Dindas H3 Pre-Primed LVL is a structural engineered timber product that combines H3 preservative treatment with a factory-applied primer. It is designed for selected above-ground exterior LVL applications where durability, dimensional stability and presentation are important.

Yes. Dindas H3 Pre-Primed LVL is factory H3 treated and pre-primed, helping reduce on-site preparation and keep construction moving. Builders should still follow current Dindas guidance for handling, installation, resealing and final coating requirements.

Yes. Dindas H3 Pre-Primed LVL is designed for external, above-ground applications where the product can drain and dry. The H3 treatment helps protect against termites and decay, while the primer supports moisture and UV protection during construction.

Dindas H3 Pre-Primed LVL should not be used in ground contact, concrete-embedded members, continuous freshwater wetting or immersion, marine exposure, tidal or splash zones, or areas that trap water and cannot dry out.

Yes. Cut ends, drilled holes and penetrations should be resealed with a compatible primer or sealer and protected before exposure to moisture. This supports durability and aligns with good moisture-management practice.

The Dindas H3 LVL range includes H3 pre-primed options for LVL 10, LVL 13.2 and LVL 14 F17, with LVL 14 F17 noted as limited to Victoria. Check current availability before specifying.

H3 LVL span information should be checked through the relevant Dindas LVL span tables and individual product resources for DindasFrame LVL 10, Dindas LVL 13.2 and Dindas LVL 14 F17. Final member choice depends on grade, treatment, span, loading, exposure and project design requirements.

For outdoor or exposed applications, use fasteners suitable for the exposure condition, treatment and project design. The H3 FAQ PDF references hot-dip galvanised fasteners or stainless steel fasteners, with stainless steel recommended for high-exposure zones.
