Dindas H3 Pre-Primed LVL is a structural engineered timber product that combines H3 preservative treatment with a factory-applied primer. It is designed for selected above-ground exterior LVL applications where durability, dimensional stability and presentation are important.
Yes. Dindas H3 Pre-Primed LVL is factory H3 treated and pre-primed, helping reduce on-site preparation and keep construction moving. Builders should still follow current Dindas guidance for handling, installation, resealing and final coating requirements.
Yes. Dindas H3 Pre-Primed LVL is designed for external, above-ground applications where the product can drain and dry. The H3 treatment helps protect against termites and decay, while the primer supports moisture and UV protection during construction.
Dindas H3 Pre-Primed LVL should not be used in ground contact, concrete-embedded members, continuous freshwater wetting or immersion, marine exposure, tidal or splash zones, or areas that trap water and cannot dry out.
Yes. Cut ends, drilled holes and penetrations should be resealed with a compatible primer or sealer and protected before exposure to moisture. This supports durability and aligns with good moisture-management practice.
The Dindas H3 LVL range includes H3 pre-primed options for LVL 10, LVL 13.2 and LVL 14 F17, with LVL 14 F17 noted as limited to Victoria. Check current availability before specifying.
H3 LVL span information should be checked through the relevant Dindas LVL span tables and individual product resources for DindasFrame LVL 10, Dindas LVL 13.2 and Dindas LVL 14 F17. Final member choice depends on grade, treatment, span, loading, exposure and project design requirements.
For outdoor or exposed applications, use fasteners suitable for the exposure condition, treatment and project design. The H3 FAQ PDF references hot-dip galvanised fasteners or stainless steel fasteners, with stainless steel recommended for high-exposure zones.
